Which devices is Qumpas compatible with?
Qumpas is fully compatible with all AC and DC charging stations that support the universal communication protocols OCPP (1.6j and 2.0.1). This allows you to integrate your existing hardware into the Qumpas ecosystem and manage a brand-independent network without needing hardware upgrades.

Qumpas enables fair energy cost allocation among residents without the need for commercial electricity resale. The system measures the exact kWh consumption of each unit in real-time and generates 'cost-sharing reports' based on the management's designated energy unit rate. This ensures that charging costs within the common area electricity bill are transparently allocated only to the residents who use the service.
Is technical infrastructure required for Qumpas setup?
Qumpas is a cloud-based (SaaS) platform, meaning it requires no investment in servers or additional local software. As long as your charging stations have an internet connection and OCPP support, you can immediately start utilizing Qumpas’s advanced management features.
How do vehicle owners initiate the charging process?
Vehicle owners can start charging their vehicles in seconds by scanning the QR code at the stations via the Qumpas mobile application or using their assigned RFID cards.
How does the system react when a third vehicle starts charging?
Our system is designed to distribute available power in the most efficient way possible. For example, let's say your site's charging capacity is 60 units: With two vehicles: Both vehicles draw the full power they need (e.g., 22 units each) and charge quickly. No restrictions are applied since the capacity is sufficient. When a third vehicle arrives: As the total demand would strain the capacity, Qumpas intervenes instantly. Instead of stopping the charge for other vehicles, it sends a new command to all three stations to equalize the power: 'Each of you deliver 20 units of power.' This allows the system to distribute the available energy across all vehicles without risking the breakers. Once one vehicle finishes charging and leaves the circuit, the released power is automatically redistributed to the remaining two vehicles at full capacity.
How will I see how much electricity each apartment has consumed at the end of the month?
No manual intervention is required. Qumpas automatically records each charging cycle on a per-apartment or per-user basis. At the end of the month, with a single click, you can obtain a detailed Excel or PDF report showing how many kWh each apartment consumed. You can directly import this report into your accounting system or share it with residents.
Can a resident see their past charging history?
Yes. Each user can transparently view their entire charging history, including the date, duration, and kWh of energy consumed, through their own Qumpas mobile app. This ensures complete trust and transparency between site management and residents regarding energy consumption.
Can I monitor the real-time status of the stations?
Absolutely. Through the Qumpas management dashboard, you can live-monitor which station is available, which is currently charging, and the instantaneous power being drawn. The system alerts you immediately in case of any technical issues or if a station goes offline.
What should I do if all charging stations are occupied?
Even if all stations are in use, you don't need to go down to the parking lot to check. You can activate the 'Notify Me When Available' feature via the Qumpas mobile app. As soon as a vehicle finishes charging and leaves the station, you will receive an instant push notification on your phone. This allows you to charge your vehicle without wasting time or losing your spot.
How do you prevent unauthorized users from using the charging stations?
The Qumpas system provides a completely closed-circuit and secure infrastructure. The physical presence of a station does not mean anyone can use it. To start a charging session, the user must have the Qumpas mobile app and be authorized by the site manager within the system. Unless the manager grants approval, an outsider scanning the QR code will not be able to start the charge. In short, your charging stations remain exclusive only to the neighbors and guests you permit.
